In many applications of pneumatic actuators, safety is usually an important factor to pay attention to. This function can be achieved by installing and fixing the air lock valve at the inlet and outlet of the pneumatic actuator. The air lock valve contains an pneumatic pressure switch that drives one or more three - vent valves. There is a calibration spring in the pressure switch. When the working pressure is lower than the set value, the air lock valve will lock the actuator locally or switch to the spare air source to make the actuator fully open or closed. The air lock valve can be reopened only when the air source pressure is higher than the set value.
